The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) launched a strategic research and consulting project on China’s development strategy for digital intelligence health innovation during a meeting in Beijing on June 6, 2023.

Wang Chen, Vice President of the CAE and Wang Hongwei, Vice President of Tsinghua University, delivered speeches at the meeting, which also included members of the CAE and the Chinese Academy of Sciences as well as more than 20 experts.

The project team gave a detailed introduction on the research plan, covering the background, sub-topics, tasks, technological approaches, and expected results. 

During the discussions, CAE & CAS members and experts offered valuable ideas from multiple aspects, such as the combination of theory and application, resource sharing, information security, talent training and standard-setting.

In appreciation of the suggestions, the team pledged to develop a scientific and practical research pathway, conduct multi-dimensional academic and industry research, and provide an advanced blueprint for the medium- and long-term development at a high quality.
