The 14th session of the 7th Governing Board of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was held in Shanghai on April 22, 2021. The meeting was presided over by President Li Xiaohong, Executive Chairman of the Governing Board, and attended by 34 Governing Board members including Honorary Chairmen Song Jian, Xu Kuangdi and Zhou Ji, Vice Presidents Chen Zuoning, Zhong Zhihua, He Huawu and Wang Chen, as well as Chen Jianfeng, Secretary General of the CAE.

The meeting reviewed and approved the list of valid candidates for the 2021 CAE member election, and gave notification of main arrangements for the coming General Assembly of the CAE and CAS and the first round of review meeting for 2021 CAE member election. The board also reviewed the 14th Five-Year Plan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and studied other issues.
