On September 3 and 4, the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Chongqing University, Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau and the Chongqing Academy of Chinese Engineering S&T Strategy for Development (CAE Chongqing) co-organized CAE members to visit the city to support the high-quality development of intelligent connected and new energy vehicles.

Zhong Zhihua, Vice President of the CAE, and experts from the university’s Research Institute of Advanced Technology participated the visit that aimed to leverage the CAE's role as a premier national think-tank to help the development of Chongqing’s automobile industry.

The research group visited enterprises to learn more about production and R&D, exchanged ideas on automobile development trends and the application of the latest technology, as well as key issues in the vehicle-road-cloud system. The group made suggestions to the Chongqing Municipal Government and the CAE Chongqing also planned to compile a report based on the opinions and suggestions of CAE members and experts.
