New research launched in Shanghai focuses on digital healthcare
A research project into the development strategy and building capacity in digital healthcare, a key consulting project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), was launched in Shanghai on July 12. Wang Chen, Vice President of the CAE, delivered a speech online, while 10 academy members attended the meeting in person along with representatives of relevant organizations and project team members.
In his speech, Wang emphasized the growing role of digitalization in the healthcare sector and expressed hope that this research would provide scientific evidence and decision-making support for formulating a national strategy for digital healthcare development.
During the meeting, the project team presented reports on the background, dimensions, objectives and plans for the research. Experts provided suggestions for the project, particularly regarding data sharing and security, talent cultivation and research into a large language model.
