Zhengzhou holds Int’l forum on animal vaccines

On December 5, 2021, Zhengzhou city held the International Top-level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy and the International Forum on Animal Vaccines: Future Development and Challenges. Hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), it was organized by the Agriculture Division at the CAE, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development at Henan Province along with Henan Agricultural University. More than 80 experts, scholars and corporate representatives from home and abroad attended.


Themed the International Forum on Animal Vaccines: Future Development and Challenges, it deliberated methods to promote technical upgrades in animal vaccines and technical breakthroughs in key bottlenecks while proposing future development strategies and paths for animal vaccines. Efforts also extend to urging scientists worldwide to work together in tackling the common threats faced by humanity, building a sharing platform for academic exchanges and undertake in-depth cooperation in the fields of animal vaccines, livestock and poultry breeding, and the prevention of animal diseases and zoonoses.

The forum was held via live stream with more than 50,000 participants attending in person and over video links. Its success is of great importance in promoting all-round and multi-field cooperation among universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises in the  advancement of international R&D and global production of animal vaccines.
