8th China-America Frontiers of Engineering Symposium held successfully
The 8th China-America Frontiers of Engineering Symposium (CAFOE) was held in Beijing and Irvine, California by video link from June 18 to 20. Li Xiaohong, President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and John L. Anderson, President of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Guests including Wang Chen, Vice President of the CAE, and CAE Member Tu Hailing were also present at the symposium.
The 8th CAFOE was co-chaired by CAE Member Cheng Jing from Tsinghua University and Eleanor Allen, Lead Executive of B Lab Global, who both made speeches and chaired discussion sessions. More than 60 early-career engineers from China and the U.S. made video presentations and joined discussions on the future development of engineering science and technology.
