CAE, SATW hold joint symposium on healthy ageing
The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW) held a joint symposium on healthy ageing in Zurich, Switzerland on July 5.
Wang Chen, Vice President of the CAE, delivered the opening speech, chaired a session, and gave the closing remarks. CAE member Jiang Zhuangde also chaired a session, while SATW President Benoît Dubuis and Vice President Peter Seitz delivered speeches, presented reports, and provided concluding remarks. More than 50 academy members and experts from both academies attended the symposium.
Focusing on four key areas, the symposium shared research findings and explored innovative strategies to promote healthy ageing.
Before the meeting, Wang Chen and Benoît Dubuis signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), agreeing that the two academies will collaborate in personnel exchanges, joint symposiums and research initiatives. This symposium also marked the first joint academic activity carried out under the framework of the MoU.
