On November 26, 2025, DING Ning, Deputy Director General (Acting Head) of the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, met with Daniel Ekström, Science and Technology Counsellor of the Embassy of Sweden in China, and his delegation in Beijing. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening China-Sweden cooperation in engineering science and technology.

DING Ning introduced the functional positioning of the Chinese Academy of Engineering as a national high-end think tank in engineering science and technology, reviewed the cooperation process since the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2010, pointed out that the two sides have a solid cooperation foundation and broad prospects, and expressed the expectation to further deepen the regular dialogue between the two academies, and promote exchange visits, joint research, academic seminars and publishing cooperation. Daniel Ekström introduced the key areas of Swedish scientific and technological innovation and relevant cooperation situations, stated that Sweden attaches great importance to scientific and technological cooperation with China, highly agrees with the cooperation intentions of both sides, and is willing to promote practical cooperation between the engineering and technological circles of the two countries.
