Royal Society of Canada Medical Division Head Visits CAE for Collaboration Talks

   On the morning of November 3, 2025, Ding Ning, Deputy Director General (Acting Head) of the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), met with Prof.Wang Rui, Fellow and Head of the Medical Division of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC), and Prof. Wu Lingyun, Tenured Professor of Laurentian University in Canada, at the CAE headquarters. Both parties held discussions focusing on China-Canada medical cooperation and exchanges.

    Ding Ning extended a warm welcome to Wang Rui and his delegation, and introduced the CAE’s efforts in promoting international scientific and technological cooperation. She noted that the CAE highly appreciates Prof. Wang Rui’s strong support for the work of its journal Engineering, and expressed the willingness to further strengthen pragmatic cooperation with the RSC in areas such as high-level academic journals and joint academic seminars, so as to promote scientific and technological exchanges and jointly advance the development of global engineering science and technology.

    Wang Rui echoed this view. He stated that the RSC attaches great importance to cooperation with the CAE and is ready to jointly expand cooperation in international journal development, academic exchanges and other fields. Both parties reached initial consensus on the follow-up cooperation initiatives.

    Representatives from the Division II of the Department of International Cooperation of the CAE also attended this meeting.
