SATW President Benoît Dubuis Visited the CAE
On the morning of February 12, 2026, CHEN Jianfeng, Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and ZHOU Ji, Honorary Chairman of the CAE Governing Board and Editor-in-Chief of Engineering, met with Benoît Dubuis, President of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW) and a newly elected international member of the CAE (2025), in Beijing.
Secretary-General CHEN extended congratulations to President Dubuis on his election as an international member of the CAE and expressed the hope that he would actively serve as a bridge to continuously promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Switzerland, particularly between the two academies of engineering. During the meeting, both sides introduced the main work of their respective academies and engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation in fields such as biomedicine and life sciences. It was also agreed that the two academies would continue organizing joint academic forums and work together to build a global community of health for humanity, so as to better serve the economic and social development of both countries and improve the well-being of the people. In addition, CAE Member ZHOU Ji invited President Dubuis to actively participate in the development of CAE journal Engineering.
Attendees at the meeting also included CAE Member CHENG Jing; DING Ning, Deputy Director General (Acting Head) of the International Cooperation Department of the CAE; WU Chen, Deputy Director of the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; and Zhang Lei, Executive Dean of the Sino-Swiss Institute of Advanced Technology at Shanghai University.
