From August 7 to 9, 2026, the Engineering Science and Technology International Symposium of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), comprising the International High-level Forum on High-end Measurement Instruments & the 14th International Symposium on Precision Engineering Measurements and Instrumentation (IFMI & ISPEMI 2026), was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

    Co-organized by the Information and Electronics Engineering Division of the CAE, Chinese Society for Measurement, China Instrument and Control Society, and the Harbin Institute of Technology, the conference was presided over by Academician Tan Jiubin, who served as chair of the conference. At the main forum, Academician Lü Yueguang and Suzhou Municipal Vice Mayor Mao Wei attended and delivered speeches. Eight academicians from home and abroad and leading industry experts made invited presentations. In addition to the main forum, the conference set up eight sub-forums, as well as three special forums covering NQI Innovation Technology for Precision Measurement and Instruments, Interchangeability and Measurement Technology, and Virtual Simulation Innovation Technology. Furthermore, a closed-door symposium titled “Development Strategy for Integrated Circuit Testing Instruments” was held.

    The conference brought together more than 350 academicians, experts and scholars, enterprise representatives, and researchers from 14 countries and regions worldwide for on-site participation. Attendees conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on key technologies in the fields of high-end measuring instruments and precision engineering measurement. The event effectively promoted international collaborative innovation in this domain, and provided strong support for the high-quality development of high-end measuring instrument technology in China.
