The CAE Member and Expert Achievement Exhibition and Transformation Centre, jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government was officially inaugurated in Jiading District, Shanghai on the morning of April 22, 2021. Song Jian, Vice Chairman of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee and Honorary Chairman of CAE Governing Board, Xu Kuangdi, Vice Chairman of the 10th CPPCC National Committee and Honorary Chairman of CAE Governing Board, and Li Xiaohong, President of the CAE jointly inaugurated the Centre. Zhou Ji, Honorary Chairman of CAE Governing Board, relevant leaders, Governing Board members and relevant CAE Members attended the event. Wu Qing, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai, and Zhong Zhihua, Vice President of the CAE, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. CAE Members Pan Yunhe, Wu Hequan and 5 experts in the field of digital economy gave keynote reports.

The Achievement Transformation Centre focuses on the achievement transformation, achievement display, academic exchange, science popularization and patriotism education, strategic consulting and scientific problem tackling, in order to create a platform for the display and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, to better connect and meet the technological innovation needs of enterprises, and serve in the integrated construction and development of the Yangtze River Delta led by Shanghai, radiating to the whole country, and hopefully the world, in the future.

The exhibition is divided into 7 exhibition parts dedicated to strategic consulting and research, artificial intelligence technology and equipment, biomedical technology and equipment, new material technology and equipment, new energy technology and equipment, high-end equipment and intelligent manufacturing, ecological and environmental protection technology and equipment, respectively. It highlights the breakthrough achievements and original achievements made by CAE members in the field of core technology in recent years, a total of 200 CAE Members and expert teams totalling more than 310 achievements are exhibited, including more than 110 consulting achievements and 204 scientific and technological achievements. Among them, 95 scientific and technological achievements are first released, and 88 are being put into industrialization.
