On July 17, SAFEA held a selection meeting for the 2014 People's Republic of China Friendship Award. Zhang Jianguo, head of SAFEA, gave a speech, and deputy heads such as Sun Zhaohua, Lu Ming and Zhang Yali attended the meeting.

The jury committee members are from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of State Security, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Ministry of Agriculture, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration of the State Council, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering and departments within SAFEA. During the meeting on July 17, the jury committee reviewed candidates for the 2014 Friendship Award.

SAFEA holds selection meeting for Friendship Award

The Friendship Award, set up in 1991, is China's highest award for foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's economic and social progress.
