At this year's Two Sessions, CGTN's Gao Ang spoke to Liu Zhongmin, a CPPCC member and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, on new quality productive forces and technological innovation. 

LIU ZHONGMIN CPPCC Member "In the government work report, there are 10 key tasks for 2024 – the first two of which are related to technology. Although the first task is about industrial innovation and upgrading, it emphasizes the role of technology. The second task is directly related to technology. I think the government has special expectations from those engaged in technology and innovation. So we feel a sense of great responsibility. In the overall development process, new quality productive forces include the upgrading and transformation of traditional industries, the development of strategic emerging industries, and the laying out of future industries. It also includes the interconnection of artificial intelligence and digitalization. These are the major objectives that require our further consideration."
