An online meeting was held on March 29, 2022 to kick off the Strategic Research on the Development of Air Medical Emergency Rescue System initiative, a consultancy project by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE).

CAE member Jiang Baoguo presided over the meeting and on behalf of the project team described the research background, objectives, content and implementation plans. 

The head of the office for the CAE’s Medicine and Health Division outlined the requirements and performance assessment for the project. 

Experts at the meeting acknowledged the necessity for the research and held in-depth discussions on issues including the methods, schedules and the breakdown of tasks.

In his summary speech, Jiang expressed his gratitude to the experts for their suggestions and also pledged to ensure the quality of the research and the consultancy report.
