Research on the Roadmap of Green Production Technology for Basic Organic Chemical Industry, a consulting project by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), was inaugurated via a video meeting on June 2. 

CAE member Yang Weimin gave a general introduction on the project including the background, methods, implementation plan, schedule and expected results, followed by a briefing on the research outline by the project team.

Experts and CAE members participating at the meeting offered suggestions on the strategic positioning of the project, expansion of research ideas, integration of interdisciplinary resources and the selection of key technologies.

The project team will further improve the research content, conduct in-depth research on the current status and technology trends both at home and abroad, and put forward suggestions on industrial development and policy measures to ease technical bottlenecks and accelerate green and low-carbon development of the basic organic chemical industry.
