The “Strategic Research of TCM for Anti-aging,” a consulting project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), was launched in an online and onsite meeting in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province on July 16, 2022.

More than 20 experts from the project team participated in the meeting.  

During the meeting, the project team explained the necessity of the project from three aspects: the trend of population aging, the challenges China faces, and the anti-aging effect of traditional Chinese medicine. The team also introduced the research objectives, plans, research members, and other basic information. The participating academicians and experts discussed the anti-aging role of TCM and also made suggestions on the research plan.

The project team said it will carefully summarize the opinions and suggestions, further focus on problems, clarify research direction, and complete research tasks with high quality.
