The "International Top-level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Strategy Agricultural Sensors & International Conference on Intelligent Agriculture (ICIA2021)" was held in Tianjin from 20 to 22 May 2021. The forum was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tianjin Municipal People's Government, and Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering (CSAE). Over 1000 experts from China, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, French, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Greece and Span participated in ICIA2021. Focusing on the topics of agricultural sensors, agricultural artificial intelligence, agricultural robots, precision agriculture and smart farms, the forum invited Chinese and international experts to exchange the latest technology research progress and application experience to showcase a number of cutting-edge technologies and achievements in smart agriculture, promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation among academia, industry, government departments and agricultural businesses, playing a positive role in accelerating the development of smart agriculture in China.

The forum is rich in content, including "conference, exhibition and competition". Around four topics, namely agricultural sensors, agricultural artificial intelligence, agricultural robots, precision agriculture and smart farm, more than 80 academic reports were made by CAE Members and well-known experts, with 30 oversea experts’ presentations included. 

The forum set up an exhibition of smart agriculture and smart equipment technology achievements. A total of 60 exhibition items participated in the exhibition. During the forum, the first China Agricultural Robot innovation competition was held, with a total of 195 entries. After the evaluation by CAE Member and experts, 32 entries were awarded. The award ceremony was held at the opening ceremony.
