CAE President Zhou Ji Met with Leo Morton, President of UMKC

CAE President Zhou Ji met with a delegation led by Leo Morton, President of the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in Beijing on October 12, 2012. Both sides exchanged viewpoints on issues like strengthening the Sino-US science and technology innovation and cooperation, etc. 

Dr. Leo Morton briefed President Zhou on the work UMKC had done in recent years as well as achievement made, who also expressed hope to carry out cooperation with the CAE in areas such as super computer, nanotechnology, solar energy technology, bio-fuels and engineering education. Zhou said that CAE’s willing to deepen collaboration and exchange with UMKC, and speed up the transformation and commercialization of scientific achievements, jointly promoting the development of Sino-US science and technology innovation.

Present also in the meeting were Prof. Chen Dingqi, Dean of the School of Management of UMKC, Wang Shengyi, Director of College of Management of UMKC in China and Asia-Pacific Regions, as well as Cheng Jiayi, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of CAE.
