Mr. Du Xiangwan, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, met with Prof. Lars Eric Marcus Aldén, Member of both KVA (Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences) and IVA (Swedish Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences) in CAE building on August 5, 2010. Both sides discussed and exchanged views as to the cooperation of China and Sweden in the field of energy.

Prof. Marcus Aldén is the Dean of the Combustion and Physics Department of Lund University, a key university in Sweden and also the Vice Chairperson of the International Combustion and Physics Association. He is a leading researcher in the fields of combustion sciences and technologies and a renowned expert specialized in combustion, enjoying great international reputation. He has served the post of the chair or co-chair of the International Combustion Conference (of the highest level in the world in the field of combustion) several times in the past.
