Vice President Pan Yunhe Met with Prof. Gerry Byrne, Former President of Irish Academy of Engineering

On July 29, Executive Vice President of CAE met with Prof. Gerry Byrne, former President of Irish Academy of Engineering, former chairman of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland, who is also Member of Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng), UK, and German Academy of Engineering (ACATECH) in CAE building in Beijing.


Pan introduced the major advisory work CAE has conducted lately and the cooperative endeavors CAE ever made with engineering science and technology organizations in foreign countries. Prof. Gerry Byrne, on behalf of Irish Academy of Engineering, discussed the possibility to further promote collaboration with CAE in the field of new energy. As President of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), Prof. Gerry also gave a briefing about this academy and expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with CEA. Both sides have reached a draft agreement to co-organize an international forum on manufacturing industry development and innovative design next fall.
