CAE Vice President Du Xiangwan met the delegation of the British Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) led by IET CEO and Secretary General Mr. Robin McGill on their visit to China on Oct. 29, 2008. The two parties presented each other the features and basic information of their institution and exchanged ideas about the key fields of cooperation and how to promote engineering and technological development in China and the UK through cooperation and exchange.

The IET delegation was invited by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and had signed a cooperation agreement with the Association earlier on the trip. The delegation included Director of the IET International Department Mr. Gray Wu, Global Business Promotion Manager Mr. Andrew Phillips, and Chief Representative of the Beijing Office Mr. Wilford Zhao. Mr. Cheng Jiayi, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the CAE was also present at the meeting.
