Zhong Zhihua, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), participated in the opening ceremony of the World Manufacturing Convention 2022, co-hosted by the CAE, in Hefei City, Anhui Province on September 20, 2022.

The opening ceremony saw the signing of agreement for major projects, the announcement of new products, and the speeches by leaders of well-known enterprises and renowned scholars.

With the theme of "Manufacturing for a Better World", the conference focused on the development trend and hot issues in the manufacturing industry. It aimed to build the consensus of all parties and create a platform for exchange and cooperation in the industry’s innovation-driven growth.

As part of the Academicians Visit Program, several CAE members visited Hefei, Huainan and other regions to conduct research on energy and urban security, learned about the development of key research institutes and pro-innovation platforms, and also participated in the "Urban Lifeline - Energy and Urban Security" forum.
