ICEE Holds a Global Partner Meeting

On September 13, 2022, UNESCO-ICEE and its global partners held a meeting in Beijing to discuss their joint participation in the industry-academia collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education. The representatives of the Global Corporate Partnership Board of ICEE, including CHEN Guoyu, Executive Vice President of Shenzhou Institute of China Academy of Space Technology, LIU Binli, founder and CEO of Founder of Beijing Yuke Future Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. (Yuke Future), and ZHANG Bei, General Manager of Dongfang Chuangke Technology Co., Ltd. of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, attended the meeting, and SHEN Ye, Secretary General of the Global Corporate Partnership Board of ICEE, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting

Dr. SHEN Ye introduced recent research activities of ICEE, and she said that ICEE acts as a think tank research and consulting center, a high-level talent training base, and an international exchange platform. It has always been committed to accelerating the in-depth integration of industry-university-research and empowering the high-quality development of engineering education driven by innovative strategy. ZHANG Bei introduced the smart education business of New Oriental Education & Technology Group in detail. Besides, she said that the four projects in smart agriculture, smart transportation, smart factory & aerospace projects had been approved as the industry-university collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education, and she expected academic support from ICEE during the implementation of the projects of smart factory and aerospace. CHEN Guoyu expressed in his speech that the industry-university collaborative education fully embodies the importance of cooperation between colleges and enterprises, and ICEE Space Technology Education Base will actively support the industry-university collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education. LIU Binli said that the ICEE Base of Future Science and Technology Education would also fully support the industry-university collaborative education projects regarding technical teams and other aspects. The guests also had in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as talent training quality, deepening the integration of vocational education with industries, and promoting cooperation between colleges and businesses.

This collaboration among ICEE, its global partners, and the New Oriental Education & Technology Group to participate in the industry-university collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education will facilitate the innovation in cooperation models between colleges and businesses and the industry-university-research institute cooperative education. Furthermore, the partners will focus on delivering high-quality scientific research achievements, thus opening up a new path for the sustainable development of ICEE. Other participants include LIU Na, Product Director, MIAO Zhiqiang, Product Manager of Dongfang Chuangke Technology Co., Ltd. of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, and LI Chao at the Global Corporate Partnership Board of ICEE.
