The “The Study on Development Strategy of the National Nuclear Medical and Health Industry” project launch meeting was held by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) on February 25, 2021.

Nuclear medicine is the application of nuclear energy in the medical field. It is the product of the combination of modern science and technology (such as nuclear, electronics, and computer) and medicine. It has a wide range of applications in diagnosis, treatment, and medical pharmacy research. The Healthy China Strategy emphasises on putting people’s health as a strategic priority for development and building a great country in science and technology. It has become a top priority to carry out research on the consulting of the development strategy of the national nuclear medical and health industry and promote the high-quality development of the national medical and health services.

The meeting listened to the reports of the research plan of the project groups and the project general group. The participating members of CAE and experts put forward their opinions and suggestions.
