On July 10, 2023, Zhong Zhihua, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), met with Kaushik Rajashekara, a foreign member of the CAE and also a member of the US National Academy of Engineering and a professor at the University of Houston. During the meeting, Rajashekara was awarded the CAE foreign member certificate.

Zhong congratulated Rajashekara on his election as a foreign member of the CAE and encouraged Rajashekara to further participate in CAE academic activities, facilitate communication, and enhance Sino-US engineering and technological exchanges.

The meeting was also attended by Geng Hua, Deputy Director of the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University.
