About CAE’s Bilateral Collaboration
The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) has signed collaboration agreements with 58 sister engineering academies or organizations in 42 countries, with all the world major national engineering academies being fully covered, and series of joint activities have been carried out in recent years. For example with France, CAE conducted the “Sino-French Nuclear Energy Report” and the “Sino-French Hydrogen Energy Strategy Research” with the National Academy of Technology of France as well as “Sino-French Medicine Symposiums” in the past nine consecutive years with the French National Academy of Medicine, and the “Tuberculosis Prevention and Control System and Policy Research” project with the French National Academy of Medicine and the French National Center for Scientific Research (with the co-sponsorship of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences). With Germany, CAE carried out “Sino-German Energy System Transformation Research” and held four consecutive “Sino-German Intelligence Manufacturing Seminars” with the German National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech). With the support of UNESCO, CAE has established two UNESCO Category II centers, the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences Technology of UNESCO (ICKEST) and International Centre for Engineering Education of UNESCO (ICEE). CAE also co-organized the “Evidence-Based Science Policy Advisory Forum” with the European Council of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering (EURO-CASE).
