The 2020 Tan Kah Kee Science Award conferred

On May 29, during the 20th general assembly of the members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the 15th general assembly of the members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), the ceremony for the 2020 Tan Kah Kee Science Award was held.


Tan Kah Kee Science Awards

There are 5 winning projects for the 2020 Tan Kah Kee Science Awards, and 6 winners of the Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Awards.

Among them, Gao Yuanning of Peking University won the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Mathematics and Physics, Feng Xiaoming of Sichuan University won the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Chemistry, Shi Yigong of Tsinghua University and Westlake University won the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Life Sciences, Zhu Rixiang of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of CAS won the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Earth Sciences, and Luo Jianbin of Tsinghua University won the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Technological Sciences. There was no the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Information Technological Sciences conferred.


Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Awards

Winners for the 2020 Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Awards include: Guan Qi’an, Peking University (in Mathematics and Physics), Chen Xing, Peking University (in Chemisty), Wang Kejian, China National Rice Research Institute (in Life Science), Tang Chaosheng, Nanjing University (in Earth Sciences), Xiao Yunfeng, Peking University (in Information Technological Sciences), and Sun Mingyue, Institute of Metal Research of CAS (in Technological Sciences).
